Martha Lee Adams, M.Ed., M.A., CCC-SLP

Austin, Texas

Martha is the instructor-coordinator for the PROMPT Institute. She travels extensively teaching PROMPT both within the USA and internationally. She is involved in the mentoring program with the PROMPT Institute. She has a private practice in Austin, Texas, MLee-SLP, LLC. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and is licensed in Texas . She has specialized training and Certifications for all levels of PROMPT, Specialty Training in Infant and Toddler Family Centered Intervention and Certification in the Hanen Parent Training program.

Aside from PROMPT , she has done extensive post graduate work and training in the areas of autism/PDD, feeding, swallowing, sensory integration and Therapeutic Listening. Her areas of expertise include: infants, toddlers and preschoolers with neuro-sensory-motor-speech disorders; feeding disorders, and neurological impairments. She has developed programs and trained others in treatments involving symbolic play and feeding. Her treatments include an interdisciplinary approach with sensory integration and communication - language intervention.

Edwyna Alexander, M.A., CCC-SLP

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Edwyna has worked as a clinician at the PROMPT Institute in Santa Fe, NM since 2008, working with a diverse caseload of patients ages 2 through adults. Prior to this, she practiced as a clinician at a private practice MLee-SLP in Austin, Texas. From 1997-2007, Edwyna also served on the Board of Directors and as a Speech-Language Pathologist at her interdisciplinary clinic in Austin. She helped develop interdisciplinary programs and supervised and trained SLP’s and graduate clinicians. Edwyna has taught PROMPT workshops throughout the United States as a Primary Instructor for the PROMPT Institute since 2002.

She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA as well as Texas and New Mexico licensure in Speech Language Pathology and Certification in Hanen Parent Training. In addition to PROMPT training beginning in 1995, she has extensive post graduate training and experience in autism/PDD, auditory processing, and sensory integration. Her caseload includes children with autism/PDD as well as children and adults with language, motor speech, and sensory disorders with treatment focused on interdisciplinary aspects of speech and language. Olympia Avignone, MA, CCC-SLP, CPC

Olympia has over 30 years’ experience working with the pediatric population with disabilities including: motor speech disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, dysarthria, language and feeding disorders, sensory integration dysfunction, pervasive developmental disorder and autism spectrum disorder.

She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, is licensed in New York State as a Speech Language Pathologist and as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped.

In her private practice she currently delivers services, home and office based, to clients of all ages in Greene and Ulster counties and provides consultation services to individuals, school districts and programs in neighboring counties.

Megan Barrett, M.S., CCC-SLP

Megan provides speech-language services to toddlers, preschoolers and school age children with a wide range of impairments including motor-speech, Down Syndrome, Autism/PDD and language disorders.  She works in a private practice in Brooklyn, New York.  Prior to working in a private practice, Megan provided home based and school based speech-language therapy to children ranging in ages from 11 months to 18 years of age.  She earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology from SUNY New Paltz and holds a professional certificate as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities. Amy is a treatment clinician and CARES representative at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. She has extensive experience working with children with developmental delays, motor speech disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and language disorders. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency and is licensed in Minnesota. She has been responsible for providing supervision for other speech-language pathologists and graduate students. 

In addition to PROMPT training, she has post graduate training and experience in auditory processing, Fast ForWord, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI), childhood apraxia of speech, and feeding. Tracey Delio, M.A.CCC/SLP,

Tracey has a private practice on Long Island, New York. She is ASHA certified and also holds a degree as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. Tracey served as a school based therapist providing speech therapy to middle and high school students before entering private practice. She worked with various populations while servicing children in Early Intervention and Preschool programs.

KaraLynne has a private practice in a suburb of Washington D.C. She is presently utilizing the PROMPT system of therapy to remediate speech and language deficits in children with a range of disabilities including assorted motor speech disorders, phonological disorders, language delay and PDD/autism disorders.

Jennifer Eigen, M.S., CCC-SLP

Jennifer has a private practice in Brooklyn, New York. Therapists in her practice provide service toddlers, preschoolers and school age children with a wide range of issues including motor-speech, language and autistic spectrum disorders. 

She holds a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, a CCC from ASHA and a NY State license in speech-language pathology. Lisa Rothman Freeman, MS CCC SLP-A

Lisa is a private practice clinician in the New York City and Long Island areas. She is ASHA certified and licensed in speech/language pathology, audiology and as a teacher of the speech and hearing handicapped in NY State. Donna is the Executive Director of Children’s Speech and Language Services in Arlington, Virginia, a private clinic serving children birth to fifteen years presenting with a wide variety of language, learning, speech and attention difficulties. She has presented numerous workshops for professionals and parent groups and has been a guest lecturer at George Washington University in the Early Childhood-Special Education program. Topics have included early speech and language development, oral-motor dysfunction in the young child, creating language enriched home environments and siblings of special needs children.

Terry is a speech-language pathologist at JFK Partners, University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. She also provides speech-language services for The Rise School of Denver which offers integrated programming for children with Down Syndrome ranging in ages from 15 months to 5 years of age. She specializes in work with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and motor speech disorders.

Ginny is the Clinical Director of Children’s Speech and Language Services of Springfield. Cheryl Small Jackson, M.S., CCC-SLP

Cheryl is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Small Jewels, Inc, an organization in Westchester County, New York that provides speech, language, audiological, educational, occupational therapy and physical therapy services to children in the Early Intervention, Pre-school and school age programs. She has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings with many different populations. Her areas of special interest and experience include oral motor and feeding therapy with infants and children, cleft palate, sensory integration disorders, motor-speech disorders and language delays/disorders. Tara obtained her Masters Degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences in 1997. Upon graduating, she aggressively continued her pursuit of knowledge and cutting edge, holistic techniques through seminars, workshops, and in-services. Her objective was to work in every available setting in order to achieve her goal of providing services to individuals across the entire age spectrum.

Tara currently owns/works in private practice at S.M.I.L.E.S. Integrative Therapy Services, LLC in Cincinnati, OH. Treatment is provided for ages birth-21 for a wide range of challenges including motor speech disorders, feeding/swallowing disorders, autism, Down syndrome, and rare genetic disorders. Julie is a practicing speech-language pathologist specializing in oral- motor, feeding/swallowing and motor speech disorders. Natalia is an ASHA certified bilingual speech-language pathologist in New York City .She completed her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Gayle is a clinician in New York City. Presently, Gayle co-conducts evaluations of children with complex motor and educational needs with Marilyn Agin, MD, a neurodevelopmental pediatrician. Gayle also treats a small pediatric caseload.

With more than thirty years of clinical experience, Gayle has been privileged to develop her skills in a variety of work settings: public schools, special education preschools, early intervention/home care and private practice. Jennifer Moore is a practicing speech-language pathologist in northern New Jersey. In addition to working full time for a pediatric hospital, she provides home and school-based services. Jennifer specializes in working with children ages 2-21 year with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. She also has completed training in DIR Floortime and ABA. Jennnifer Shapiro, M.A. CCC-SLP

Jennifer works in a private practice in Long Island, New York. She received her masters degree from Adelphi University and is a certified member of ASHA. Jennifer has previously worked in the public school system and has provided speech and language therapy through the New York Early Intervention Program. Gail Scher, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Willmette, Illinois

 

Gail received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1986. She currently works at NSSED a cooperative in the Chicago North Shore suburbs. She works on a multidisciplinary team with infants and toddlers. In addition she works with toddlers and school age children in private practice in Wilmette, Illinois. Her caseload includes children with motor-speech disorders, sensory integration disorders, autism, hearing impairments, as well as children with neurological impairments. PROMPT has changed the way Gail assesses, and treats children with a wide range of communication disorders.

After incorporating what she learned in the introductory course and seeing rapid dramatic changes in her patients, she knew she needed to learn more. Now Gail is excited to share what she has learned with speech language pathologists in the Midwest. Kayle Shulenberger, MA, CCC-SLP

Kayle earned her degrees in Speech Language Pathology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She has been in private practice for the majority of her career. Kayle has experience in schools, hospitals, nursing homes and as a clinical supervisor at Western Washington University. She is also certified in English as a Second Language and taught English in Kyoto, Japan. 

She now specializes in the treatment of children with speech production disorders. Kayle was first trained in PROMPT in 1996, and has been a PROMPT instructor since 1999. Kayle is also involved in SmarTalk, and develops PROMPT based treatment materials with Alice Stroutsos and Deborah Hayden.

Michelle Solomon, M.A., CCC-SLP

Michelle earned her degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University . She holds a permanent certificate as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped, a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and is licensed in New York State . Atara is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the Syosset Central School District on Long Island, NY, where she provides services for children at the elementary level and PROMPT consult services for all children within the district through age twenty-one.  Atara also provides in-home services for children with motor speech disorders, feeding difficulties, and various language delays. In addition to PROMPT, Atara’s work with both children and adults includes specialization in Apraxia, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Phonological and Articulation Disorders, Auditory Processing, Pragmatic Language Disorders and Receptive and Expressive Language Delays.

Marissa is an ASHA Certified and New York State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from the College of Saint Rose and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from New York University. Debra Goshulak, M.H.Sc., Reg. CASLPO, S-LP(C)

Toronto, Ontario

 

Debra is a treatment clinician and the research co-ordinator at the Toronto Children’s Centre, Speech Foundation of Ontario. She holds an instructor status at the University of Toronto. Debra has focused her clinical skills on the treatment and research of motor speech disorders and has gained extensive experience with the PROMPT system. She has spoken at workshops and conferences internationally and provides consultations to Speech-Language Pathologists provincially on a regular basis.

Debra was the first Certified PROMPT Technique-Introduction Workshop Instructor (1990) and began acting as an Instructor in 1983. Since that time she has conducted multiple PROMPT workshops, training courses.

Jodi is a private practice clinician in Northern Alberta, Canada. She provides services to preschool and school-age children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech-motor and language and learning disorders in both preschool and clinical settings.

Michele works in her private practice as well as part time at a children's treatment centre in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She graduated in 1993 and has worked with a variety of patients at schools, hospitals and in private practice. Michele has worked extensively in the treatment and evaluation of infants to school aged children with numerous diagnosis' including motor speech disorders, language disorders and pediatric dysphagia. 

She has utilized all aspects of PROMPT in her practice since she began training in 2001.

Kathryn Daniels, B. Sp. Th, MSPA

Kathryn is a registered Speech Pathologist on the Gold Coast in Queensland (Australia) and in Northern New South Wales (Australia) with Combined Therapy Consultants, a multidisciplinary private practice. She has been practicing Speech Pathology with children and adults for 20 years in a variety of settings including Community Health, Hospitals, Education and Rehabilitation.

Kathryn was first trained in PROMPT in 1999. She works primarily with children with a range of needs including autism, physical disabilities, learning and literacy disabilities, specific language difficulties and motor speech disorders. She works with children on an individual basis and provides training, support and programming for children's caregivers, including parents, child care workers and teachers.

Ainsley is the director of Eastside Speech Solutions in Sydney Australia- a private practice serving both children and adults with a variety of developmental and acquired speech and language difficulties as well as literacy and stuttering.  She has worked for more than 20 years in hospitals, rehabilitation units and private practice with both children and adults.

She particularly enjoys working with infants and toddlers.
Ainsley first trained in PROMPT in 2005 to help her son, and has used her skills to help many other children and adults ever since.

Anne Walker, B. Sp. Th, MSPA

New Farm, Queensland

 

Anne graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia in 1998 and worked as a speech pathologist within Education Queensland, Community Health Services in Northern New South Wales for 6 years. Anne is currently in private practice on the Gold Coast. Anne has a special interest in working with young children with developmental delays and disabilities, as well as school aged children experiencing language and literacy related learning difficulties. Anne first trained in PROMPT in 2001 and has been using PROMPT with a wide range of patients ever since.

Anne is also working on a research project at the University of Queensland which is titled, "The Effectiveness Of Tactual Input In The Treatment Of Speech Disorders."

Karin Brinkmann

Eindhoven

 

Karin has worked in her own private practice since 1991, where she sees a broad variety of children with speech-, language- and/or feeding problems. Besides working with these children, she also lectures on sensory processing disorders, specifically for speech- and language therapists, and on PROMPT. 

Together with Marianne Raaijmakers she translated the PROMPT teaching manual into Dutch and they have made it their goal to provide more knowledge about PROMPT to the speech and language therapists in the Netherlands.

Marianne Raaijmakers, M.A.

Eindhoven

 

Marianne works as a lecturer in Logopedics at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. She lectures in the area of speech disorders in children. She has a small caseload of school-aged children with speech disorders. 

Marianne was first trained in PROMPT in 2004. Together with Karin Brinkmann she translated the PROMPT teaching manual into Dutch. She has taught PROMPT workshops and presented at conferences for PROMPT.

Beth received her Masters of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and was first trained in PROMPT in Sept. 2001. She has specialized in serving children with speech-language disorders and a variety of developmental disabilities.

Irina is an Italian Speech Language Pathologist who operates in a clinical setting in Genoa, Italy.  She holds the title of Laurea di primo livello in Logopedia and of Laurea Magistrale in Scienze delle Professioni Sanitarie della Riabilitazione

She is specialized in the treatment of children with childhood apraxia of speech, developmental dysarthria, autism spectrum disorders, deafness and developmental and acquired language disorders.  She is teaching and tutoring students of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Genova and offers her experience for supervision and counseling to parents, teachers and specialized educators.

ARGENTINA

Maria Gabriela Sanchez

La Rioja

 

Gaby is a private practice neurologist clinician with Licenciada en Fonoaudiología, in La Rioja, Argentina . She has international certifications in techniques related to Castillo Morales Concept for regulating orofacial and corporal tone ( Argentina-Germany); in Auditory Training ( Ingo Stainbach.USA); and in introduction Floortime of Greenspan. In addition, Gabriela holds specialized training in Sensory Integration topics.

She has been using PROMPT since May, 1998 in the Hispanic population, and has contact with many patients in Spanish speaking countries. She has also taught and supervised clinicians from Cordoba University in Argentina. Gaby has spoken on PROMPT in Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba, Panamá and México.

Her areas of expertise include: treatment and diagnosis of dysphagia, oral-motor feeding disorders, neurological impairments in adults and childhood (including: head injury, autism, PDD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome) holistic approach to sensory integration and language intervention, apraxia and dysarthria of speech.

Maria Jerilee F. Casas

Quezon City, Manila

Jerilee received her degree as a speech pathologist from the University of the Philippines- Manila.  She graduated in 2003 and has worked as a speech pathologist in the academe, hospital, and private clinics. in Manila.  Since then Jerilee has worked with both children and adults with varied speech and communication disorders.

Over the years, Jerilee has worked with a lot of young children with motor speech disorders.  The abundance of these cases is what urged her to undergo training in the PROMPT approach in 2007.  She has been using PROMPT with a wide range of clients.

Along with her colleagues, she recently set-up her own practice at THINKids in Quezon City, Metro Manila where she sees the children with a range of needs including those diagnosed with Autism, language disorders and delay, specific language impairments, Down Syndrome and motor speech disorders.
