Introduction to PROMPT

In order to satisfy workshop completion, it was necessary for the clinician to:

1. Perform an in depth analysis of the client’s motor-speech system.

2. Select and prioritize appropriate interactive motor-parameters.

3. Choose developmental motor-phonemes that could be used to create syllables/words/phrases that could be applied for both functional speech and language use.

4. Demonstrate beginning, appropriate use and direct application of PROMPT at the Parameter, Syllable, Complex and Surface levels within one interactive and communication-based activity.

5. Choose a therapeutic intervention task directed at establishing either introduction of phoneme targets or correction of inaccurate targets.
