Presentation Description:  PROMPT is an acronym for Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). PROMPT trained SLPs assess and treat individuals holistically by approaching communication as an interaction of the physical-sensory, cognitive-linguistic and social-emotional domains within the Conceptual Framework.  This live presentation will examine how children with autism and/or apraxia are assessed and treated from a PROMPT perspective.  This 1 hour and 30 minute presentation will be interactive and take questions throughout.  

Learning Objectives:  

       • Define autism and apraxia
• Understand PROMPT assessment
• Understand PROMPT Treatment
• List and explain ways to implement PROMPT with children who exhibit apraxia and/or autism
