Activities for Families

Families can help reinforce the work done by their speech therapist by incorporating activities at home. It is important to talk to your therapist about home practice to support their therapy goals.

Your therapist should talk to you about the PROMPT Assessment and which stage of the Motor Speech Hierarchy(MSH) they are working on. If your therapist hasn’t spoken with you about these, you can ask them to provide homework sheets called “PROMPT Words to Work On”.  Words to Work On is only available to SLPs, since it requires specific, individualized assessment to properly use.

Once you know the stage of the MSH your SLP is working on, you can utilize the following for home practice:

Both are organized by MSH stage and are easy and fun ways for your child to practice at home.
