When is the next workshop coming to my area?

We schedule several new  workshops each week. If you create a profile on our website and include your location in your professional information section, we will notify you when we post the next workshop in your area. Be sure to choose the membership category "SLP, no previous PROMPT Training" so we are sure to send you notification of an Introductory workshop.


If you have already taken the Introduction workshop, we will notify you when we list a Bridging workshop in your area. Please make sure that your location is up to date in the professional information section of your profile. Otherwise we do not know where you are.


I can’t sign in to my profile.

If you have taken a PROMPT workshop, you have a profile. Please use the password reset link below to receive a password reset link. You will need access to the email address you used for your last workshop registration to reset your password.


If you do not have access to the email account you used, do not know the address, or the system returns an e-mail unknown warning. Please email us at with your name, new email address and your city/country. We will edit your e-mail address in your account and prompt the system to send you a password reset link. Please do not create a new account.


Can CFYs/Students take a PROMPT Course?

The PROMPT Institute allows students who are in their clinical fellowship year to attend a workshop. The one requirement is that you must have at least one client on your caseload that would be an appropriate candidate for PROMPT Therapy. The reason for this policy is that the course is so hands-on. If you don't immediately apply what you learn in the course, you may not retain the information.


Is there a discount for CFYs?

No, we do not offer a discount for CFYs.

I updated my member profile, but I’m still not listed in the Clinician Directory

If you would like to be listed in our directory of PROMPT Trained Therapists, you will need to complete the address information in the Professional Information section of your profile. When you registered, you entered contact information that was stored under Personal Information. This information is not published in our directory or anywhere else on our website. Professional information is what is listed on the website for parents and clients seeking PROMPT therapists.


PROMPT trained SLPs who would like to receive referrals for PROMPT therapy should at least fill out city, state/province (the field is called 'location' ), country and either an email or phone number under Professional Information. If professional information is not completed, your profile will not be visible on the website. Click here to watch a tutorial about updating your clinician profile. 


Please note it may take up to 8 hours for any changes in the Professional Information section of your profile to flow through the search engine functionality on our website.


What is the total cost and time frame of becoming fully PROMPT Certified?

PROMPT Certified has a different meaning than the typical definition of certified in the field. After the Introduction to PROMPT workshop, you will be using PROMPT with your clients.  PROMPT Certification generally takes 5-plus years to attain. To become PROMPT Certified, you will take the Introduction and Bridging workshops, complete a tape practicum and complete the 4 month PROMPT Certification project.


The prices of our workshops, the Introduction and the Bridging, vary depending on location, but typically are priced between $600 and $800. The cost of the Practicum is $175 and the Certification Project is $400. So the total cost of the program is between $1,775 and $2,175. 


What information am I supposed to enter in the Location field?

Please enter your state, province, territory, etc. in the location field. 


Why can’t I find myself on the radius search?

The radius search is only available in the US and Canada.  If you reside in either of those countries, you will notice an address verification icon at the bottom of the professional information address section. Please click the link to verify your address – the system may suggest a slightly different address.


Please keep in mind it may take up to 8 hours after the verification for the information to flow through the search screen. 


I updated the Professional and Additional Information sections on my profile, but the information isn’t being returned in the directory search. Am I doing something wrong?

The information that you provide in your profile appears on your profile once you push the save button. Those data updates may take up to 8 hours to be included in the site’s search engine. If you do not see the changes within 24 hours, please contact us at


How do I add my photo to my profile?

1. Click on "Profile Home" in the “My Profile” box.

2. Hover over the "Photo not Available" icon and you will see an upload icon appear. 

3. Click the upload icon and follow the instructions to add your photo.


I updated my old phone number, but it is still appearing on my initial listing - before clicking on view profile.

That data actually flows through the directory search engine functionality. It may take up to 8 hours for that number to change. 


I am receiving an error message when I try to update my profile. Why?

Please click “Yes” to the question “Are you a licensed Speech Language Pathologist” under the “Professional Information” Section. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please contact us at


How do I change my password?

1. Click on "Manage Profile" in the "My Profile" box

2. Click "Edit Bio" under "Information and Settings"

3. On the third line, next to the word "Password" click "Change". 

4. The system will prompt you through the rest of the process. 


It is requiring an ASHA number and State License number in order for me to update my profile?

Those numbers are not required fields in our system.  Please click “Yes” to the question “Are you a licensed Speech Language Pathologist” under the “Professional Information” Section. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please contact us at


How do I get an invoice for my course registration?

You can download your invoice by going to Manage Profile and selecting Invoices under the heading Invoicing, Payments and History. Then under the drop down that says 'Filter by Status' select 'Any Status' and click the View/Print icon that appears next to the Order Date.
