Treatment Grants for Speech Therapy

Small Steps in Speech (SSIS) is a non-profit organization based in the United States that provides treatment grants to children whose families may have difficulty paying for speech therapy. The PROMPT Institute and SSIS began a partnership in 2014 to provide treatment grants for PROMPT therapy specifically. SLPs applying for the PROMPT-specific grants must have completed at least the Introduction to PROMPT workshop prior to applying for a grant. In 2020, the Institute will fund $75,000 worth of treatment grants through SSIS. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and are currently awarded only within the United States. Application deadlines are February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1. Please visit the SSIS website for more information about the grants.

The PROMPT Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to making PROMPT available to anyone, in any country, that can benefit from it.

Your donation will help us to continue:

  • vital research that determines the best treatment to help your family member achieve his/her highest level of communication possible
  • to expand PROMPT therapy training to ensure your SLP has the best PROMPT skills available to your family member
  • to continue to provide family education (like this page) to help you understand the best treatment approaches for your family member
